Our third power couple, Edward West and Ryan Cullen, are a creative force in Sydney. Edward is the visionary behind @pohoflowers , crafting some of the city’s most beautiful floral spaces, while @ryancullen brings stories to life through his photography, with published works found in Vogue, GQ and Elle Magazine.

Their secret to keeping the spark alive? Spontaneity, new experiences, and always showing up for each other. (Also, steering clear of kitchen debates mid-dinner party.)

And their go to Loco Love chocolate? Both Black Cherry Raspberry—a shared favourite. 🍒

Both—We officially started dating 5 years or so after meeting one another.. perhaps we aren't the right people to ask ha ha 

Is there such a thing as ‘the one’? 

Both—There are so many souls that feed each part of oneself it’s hard to say there is just ‘the one’. Twin flames though!!

Ryan—His ability to follow his heart and path in life

LOCO LOVERS #5 JULIA & NORI

Our fifth Lovers, Julia Ostro and Nori, are a Melbourne-based couple whose lives revolve around family, food, and shared cultural experiences. Julia, a celebrated cook and author, draws inspiration from her Maltese heritage and time in Tuscany, while Nori, originally from Japan, brings a deep appreciation for traditional Japanese home-style cooking.

Their secret to keeping the spark alive? Respecting each other, making an effort, and laughing together. They cherish making time for just the two of them, whether it’s a coffee date or a weekend getaway, finding joy in small moments, and always being open with each other.

Nori—I do believe in love at first sight. Julia was my love at first sight.
Julia—I think it’s an energy which is that spark which grabs you at first sight which I absolutely had with Nori. Love is something that grows and deepens all the time in different ways with time and experiences.

Is there such a thing as ‘the one’? 

Nori—Yes. She’s the one.
Julia—I do think it exists. Nori is my biggest supporter in life and absolutely lucky to have found my one person.

Nori—I love her laugh and smile and how she makes people feel.
Julia—His sense of calm, his gorgeous smile and how dedicated he is as a father and husband.

Our final Lovers, Nina Treffkorn and Edward Woodley, are the dynamic duo behind Sydney's China Heights gallery, a cornerstone of the city's creative scene. Together, they've cultivated a space that celebrates art and community @chinaheights.

Their secret to keeping the spark alive? Not taking their relationship for granted, showing kindness, and staying active together. They believe in continuous growth, both individually and as a couple, through shared experiences and open communication. And their fave Loco Love chocolate? Nina would be Wild Rose Ganache & Edward would be Salted Caramel Shortbread. A match made in heaven.

Nina—No, until I met Edward but he's the exception so aside from him it is still a no.
Edward—Yes, it’s an instant connection that deepens with time.

Nina—Possibly! I think there are people who are deeply connected to one another in the world that find each other.
Edward—Yes, when two people truly complement and challenge each other.
