Mindfulness tip: when you next bite into a Loco bar, enjoy how the melange of flavours dance along your tongue: are they tangy, bitter, sweet, savoury, nutty? What about the textures? Melt-worthy, crunchy, soft, gooey, buttery, silken? Pay attention to how the tastebuds are reacting and savour the moment. . Going on a flavour trip every now and then brings the attention back to the senses; helping us slow down and truly appreciate each moment which is not only good for the brain, but good for the spirit too. All we have is now ❤️
When I started Loco Love in 2013; I wanted to bring forth the love I had found within myself into physical form. Something edible, something that could with the right intention replicate, that same bliss I felt. . It's hard to articulate this feeling, though after many years of feeling lost, changing career from fashion designer to fashion model, and then on to become a qualified Naturopath, I was constantly searching outside of myself for contentment. I was battling severe depression and an eating disorder; I felt alone and hopeless. It wasn't until I stopped trying to over think everything that Loco Love found me. . Through meditation I had found what it meant to be truly present, and a love I had never felt before bloomed. I had finally found peace with who I was and it was so liberating to accept all of me. . Something shifted within me, my perspective of the world changed, which caused my world to transform. It wasn't all about me anymore, it was about serving my self and taking responsibility for my own happiness so that I could serve others. Making conscious choices that would benefit everyone and everything. Loco Love is an expression of this feeling, I call it love. . Loco Love is about this love - not romantic love, not possessive love, not a love of objects or anything outside of ourselves. It is about the love that is everywhere, all the time, though is often forgotten. . We are a small business, with a purpose to bring presence and love into the world. We believe that people pursuing their soul's unique paths can make the world even more beautiful than it is. Every person has a special role to play and its so important to remember that life is precious, and it is a divine responsibility to be alive. Collectively we all create this reality, Loco Love is my contribution ❤️

Sacred Cacao 〰️ . If this photo doesn't capture mine and Jesse's love for the cacao pod, I don't know what does! When I first started using cacao in my Loco creations, I was impressed to learn that its evolution goes back 10 million years, defying all kinds of odds, overcoming weather extremes and disease in tropical regions of Central and South America. . Culturally, the pre-Columbian Aztecs considered it so valuable they used the beans as currency. It was also sacred to the Mayans and other Mesoamerican groups; it still holds a high place spiritually in many indigenous societies. . And its health benefits are rife; modern studies show the plant is rich in flavonols, chemicals that help lower blood pressure. Plus, it just tastes so damn good; there’s something incomparably decadent about using it in raw chocolate. . Has anyone ever felt the effects of pure cacao when consuming? What does it feel like for you?
Someone asked me the other day if I actually eat the chocolate I make. The short answer is yes. The long answer is yessssss! . I taste it every day and my love for it has grown deeper and richer, like a good marriage (or engagement) . . My favourite flavour depends on my mood, and it's honestly too hard to choose sometimes, like picking a favourite child. At the moment, I'm enjoying the radiance and beauty-boosting vibes of Wild Rose Ganache, flavoured with Bulgarian rose oil and spiked with micro-ground pearls which are an ancient Chinese beauty tonic said to mineralise and nourish the skin from the inside out. . Other times I like to kick things up a zesty notch with Salted Macadamia and Lemon which is an army of flavour for the tastebuds and contains nourishing Lucuma and detoxifying lemon oil and turmeric. Not many people know it's infused with spray-free Macadamias (yep, they're a thing) cause we like to keep things real, clean and pure in the Loco Love House ❤️ .
