Here, the sacred spirit of cacao is not just celebrated—its revered as a medicinal indulgence for the senses and the soul. The humble yet powerful plant teacher, was used by ancient Peruvian civilisation from as early as 5,500 years ago. As traditions and stories about the spirit of Cacao echo between the mountain jungles of Peru to the Mayan Peninsula, our quest isn’t to replicate but to establish our own unique relationship with this universal Medicine of the heart, while honouring its origins and the Indigenous cultures.

We’ve partnered with a socially-responsible supplier that works with Alianza Cacao Peru, a public-private initiative supported by USAID, who are working to raise the productivity and quality of cocoa, and increase the income of more than 24,000 families dedicated to this crop in the San Martín, Huánuco, Pasco and Ucayali regions. These families abandoned the illicit cultivation of the coca leaf, to join legal value chains in the Amazon.

By signing long-term contracts and contributing to the local communities' infrastructure, our partners go well beyond industry standards to guarantee better wages, working conditions, farming practices, and a better world for all.
