We recently created a short film, with a local director and wonderful team - to capture the essence of where every Loco Love Chocolate begins. The process that our founder Emica has poured love into, for thirteen years.
From the earliest days of creating chocolates by hand in her little Sydney apartment, to our chocolate kitchen today, Emica has created every flavour in the same way. With curiosity, intention, endless experimentation and a whole lot of love and energy poured in to every bite.
We recently launched two new flavours, both born of this exact process of creation. Late nights, testing, trialling, sourcing the finest ingredients, pouring in love and intention. One of them being Peppermint Cookie Crunch. The perfect post-dinner ritual, a delightful sense of refreshment and indulgence, while also holding many healing properties.
We have always believed that indulgence and nourishment were never meant to be opposites. That the things we love to eat can also be made with ingredients that honour our bodies. And that a little moment of pleasure can be a ritual, not just a treat.
There is a wisdom in nature that we continue to be inspired by. In the plants, leaves, seeds and fruits that have nourished generations, and in the traditional knowledge that reminds us how closely connected food and wellbeing can be.
Mulberry leaves have a long history of use in traditional Asian herbal practices. They naturally contain a compound known as DNJ, which has been studied for its ability to slow the breakdown of certain carbohydrates into sugars.
It's this beautiful intersection of traditional botanical knowledge and modern nutritional research that continues to inspire us. The possibility of creating something that feels wonderfully indulgent, while thoughtfully incorporating ingredients that may support the way our bodies process food.
Paired with refreshing peppermint, rich cacao and a delicious chocolate cookie crunch, this is our little invitation to rediscover the pleasure of an after-meal ritual.
