This time of year gently invites us into a remembering — something that truly lives beyond seasons or dates — the profound power and beauty of Love. From this place, we felt called to pause, connect, and open heartfelt conversations with some of our favourite lovers, exploring what love truly means to them...

SOPHIE & ELIOT
LL. What is your love language?
S. I am a big gift giver and love showering those I love with physical extensions of my love. Also chocolate of course, baking, connection, and showing up in all the ways.
LL. What has love taught you about yourself?
S. That you can become many different versions of yourself and still at the end of the day your love is the backbone that encourages you to grow.
LL. How did you first meet and What do you remember most about that moment?
E. I first met Sophie at the farmers market in California where she was working at the time and she sold dates amongst other produce. I would come bring her flowers and we would trade for dates. We always joked that she sold me our first ‘date’. I remember those early days being very creative together.
LL. What is one moment that made you realize this is my person?
E. There’s not just one moment, I feel like every day there are moments where I fall in love again

LL. What does love look like for you now?
S. Watching the creation of our love, our son grow and flourish alongside our love for one another. Dating and finding eachother again in this new season of our lives as parents.
LL. What is your favourite Loco Love and why?
S. I have to say the seasonal gingerbread is such a favorite! I really love all the spices with a touch of caramel.
E. my favourite Loco Love chocolate is the chewy caramel - you guys nailed the caramel to chocolate ratio.

EMA & LOCKY
LL. How did you first meet, and what do you remember most about that moment?
E. We met in a café in Darlinghurst. I remember him staring at me as I walked into the cafe and throughout breakfast, and even though I didn’t know him, he looked familiar. I realised that a friend I lived with in London had told me about him and said I would really like him. Turns out, when I was back visiting Australia, the universe thought so too.
He came over to my table and nervously said Hi…. I replied, “Hi Locky,” to his utter surprise. We just casually introduced ourselves and that was it, no numbers were exchanged but our paths would cross again soon.
L. I felt Em's presence before I saw her. She strolled into view around the corner with pure joy in her step as I sat on the opposite corner of the road having a morning coffee, at that moment I knew my life was about to change. She walked into the same cafe and I couldn't help but listen to the signs and take a leap of faith by introducing myself.
LL. What has love taught you about yourself?
E. 1. That even when I think my heart cannot expand and love any more, it can.
2. That love evolves the longer you’re with someone. It shape-shifts and expands as you meet different versions of your partner and yourself.
3. Doing 'the work' in becoming a better version of myself also supports my relationships.
4. Self-love is essential if you want to give and receive love.
5. Love is a gift, and I am incredibly fortunate to receive it.
6. Love is truly the foundation of a beautiful life. Without it, my world would be dimmed.
L. I'd never considered love to be my greatest challenge, but it's exactly what I found it to be - to become a better person by challenging myself to grow constantly.

LL. What’s one moment that made you realise, “this is my person”?
E. In the early days of meeting Locky, we often ended up in the same places. I clearly remember one night watching live music. Our friends were hanging out and everyone was dancing. I looked over and saw Locky really getting into it and I was completely drawn to him because he was having so much fun. I decided then and there that I wanted to be around him more… he was so fun and made me laugh constantly. Even now, some of my favourite moments with Locky are when we’re dancing together.
And as I write this, I feel butterflies… memories really do conjure strong emotion. He really is my person.
LL. If love were a song, what would it be?
L. Vivaldi's four seasons - more than just a song, but as a musical journey it's emblematic of the celebration, drama and beauty of each season in life and love, that's what resonates.
LL. What’s your favourite Loco Love chocolate, and why?
E. Salted caramel shortbread, It’s the perfect combination: chocolate, caramel, and biscuit.

MARIANNE & BEN
LL. How did you first meet, and what do you remember most about that moment?
M. We actually met online way back before DM’s even existed. We organised to meet in a small town in Portugal, called Sagres where Ben was working as a surf instructor. I remember the feeling when I first met him and when we first embraced, it was timeless.
The connection was so strong straight away. I remember feeling so much joy in my heart in that moment. Something I hadn’t felt to that degree with anyone else before meeting Ben.
B. Funnily enough we met the exact same way as What Marianne said. Haha sorry couldn’t help myself. I remember feeling a connection beyond the beauty of Marianne’s physical body. I feeling I had never felt before. Full being attraction.
LL. What is your love language?
M. Touch and words of affirmation.
B. Appreciation of all of them but if I had to choose one I would choose quality time as it encompasses all of them.
LL. If love were a song what would it be?
M. Arrival of the birds by The Cinematic Orchestra. It’s a special song for us that we listened to a lot when we first met, so it sounds like love for us.
B. Ohh same as Marianne “Arrival of the birds”. Sounds like the arrival of our love now I listen to it again.
LL. What has love taught you about yourself?
M. It has definitely challenged me to grow and evolve in so many ways. We mirror each other and we support each other to heal and grow. Love has taught me vulnerability, to have healthy boundaries and to communicate.

LL. What’s one moment that made you realise, “this is my person”?
M. When Ben asked me to stop kissing and actually asked me deep questions to get to know me, that’s when I knew he was a special one.
B. When she told me she was out partying one night and then had this higher self view of her life and she said what am I doing. So then she started painting and drinking a little bit of wine at home with beautiful music playing instead of partying.
LL. What does celebrating love look like for you now?
M. We don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day as a day of love, but we do small things everyday to remind ourselves of our enduring love,10 + years in, which for us goes a long way.
B. The wholesome fruits of family life, A few dates here and there, supporting each other on our own paths in the figure 8 of our relationship and communicating with our hearts through challenges
LL. What’s your favourite Loco Love chocolate, and why?
M. It’s SO hard to only choose one, but my absolute favourite and one I always come back to is the Butter Caramel Pecan. I love it’s chewiness with that hint of salt and subtle cinnamon, add that with the crunch of the pecan and it’s the perfect mix for me.
B. Oeeee Butter Caramel Pecan is like eating a tiger’s eyed edible crystal from the gods of greatness, P.S. Let me know if you ever wanna use that one liner ;) ahah.

LIZZI & MARK
LL. How did you first meet, and what do you remember most about that moment?
L. We met at a little Theatre off Broadway in the Sydney suburb of Glebe. An actor friend of mine had a crush on her agent... who happened to be running this theatre (yep my future husband) so we went to the theatre. We were attracted to each other instantly even though he was not my usual Rock n Roll looking type, and I was not his conservative looking type. I was wearing a tie around my head... you get the look.
M. We met at my theatre (Bay Street Theatre). I was tending bar, box office and ushering. This smiling woman approaches me with a mens tie wrapped around her head like a native headdress. We had immediate chemistry. I remembered her laugh and that damn mens tie!
LL. If love were a song, what would it be?
L. The Luckiest by Ben Folds Five.
M. IM ON THE TOP OF THE WORLD by The Carpenters.
LL. What is your love language?
L. Hmmm… I think it changes or I choose to change it.. I’m too curious and want to understand the mechanics.
LL. What has love taught you about yourself?
L. That Love is everything. The joy, the frustration, the tenderness, the hurts, the forgiveness, the unselfishness, the passion, all of it. That I am love.
M. Be kinder. Listen. That there is a place for all of us in a world of love.
LL. What’s one moment that made you realise, “this is my person”?
L. When he took a personal risk to stand up for me - no fuss, just did it.
M. When I didn't want to leave her flat, or her.
LL. What does celebrating love look like for you now?
L. Being at home. On our balcony or by the pool, together, with our daughters, music, laughter, champagne, oysters, Loco chocolates.
M. Simpler. More gentle and doing things for each other that only the other sees.
LL. What’s your favourite Loco Love chocolate, and why?
L. I’m Libran, I can’t decide between Cherry Coconut Bliss, or Salted Mylk Ganache.
