Thirteen years ago, Loco Love began with Emica making chocolate to share with the world from her small, studio kitchen. With naturopathic knowledge, and a simple desire to create something beautiful that was equally as nourishing. That gave back as much as it was enjoyable. Something made with intention, pleasure and love.

Last week, we filled the Giant Heart-Shaped Box (from our Lovers Day campaign) with hundreds of chocolates to share with the people of Mullumbimby. We strung it from the outside pillar of Santos Mullumbimby, and welcomed the children of our community to come crack it open. Our dear friend Cal serenaded us with love songs from the balcony on his guitar, alongside a saxophone and the community all joined us to crack open the chocolate filled heart.

It was wild, a little chaotic but full of a lot of love. So much so that Jesse bought some chocolate back from Santos to make sure everyone got their little hands on some.

What started in Emica’s hands has travelled further than we ever could have imagined. Our makers, our team, our growers, our stockists, our friends, our families, and every person who has chosen a piece of Loco Love, shared one with someone they love, or made it part of their everyday ritual. Moments like this bring us back to why it began. To make something with love, and share it for a better world.
